- Rwandan etiquette is rooted in principles of respect, humility, and kindness. Demonstrating reverence for elders and authority figures stands out as a pivotal aspect. Traditional greetings for elders involve a handshake accompanied by a bow, and addressing them with appropriate titles like "Mama" or "Papa." Another significant facet of Rwandan etiquette pertains to dressing appropriately. Modesty and respectability are highly esteemed, making it impolite to wear revealing or provocative attire. Visitors are encouraged to adopt a conservative dress code, particularly when visiting religious sites or participating in formal events. Punctuality and reliability hold paramount importance in Rwandan culture. Being tardy for appointments or meetings is viewed as impolite, and it is recommended for visitors to arrive on time or preferably a few minutes early to convey a sense of respect for others' time.

Lagos, also known as Lagos City, is a sprawling metropolitan area located in southwestern Nigeria. With an estimated population of 21 million, it is the largest city in Nigeria and the most populous urban center on the African continent.
Until December 1991, Lagos served as the national capital of Nigeria before the government relocated the capital to Abuja in the country's central region.
The city boasts sandy beaches along the Atlantic Ocean, including popular spots like Elegushi Beach and Alha Beach. Lagos is also home to several private beach resorts such as Landmark Beach and Inagbe Grand Beach Resort.
On Wole Olateju Crescent, near the iconic Lekki Bridge, visitors can find companies offering boat tours, kayak rentals, and jet ski services.
Freedom Park, located in the heart of Lagos Island, is a historical and recreational site that was once Her Majesty's Broad Street Prison. Designed by architect Theo Lawson, the park stands as a testament to the city’s colonial past and serves to preserve Nigeria’s cultural heritage through its monuments and exhibits.
The Lekki Conservation Centre, often referred to as Lagos’ version of a zoo, features a protected area replicating diverse ecosystems, including rainforest, mangroves, and savannah. It is home to monkeys, birds, snakes, and crocodiles, as well as a small museum displaying stuffed animals. On Sundays, the center also hosts religious services.

- Local Customs and Traditions - Individuality is highly valued in American culture. Americans often identify themselves as separate individuals before identifying with their family, a group, or the nation.
- Equality: American society is based on the ideal that “all men are created equal”. While there are many economic, social, and cultural differences throughout the U.S., in theory, everyone should have an equal opportunity for success.
- Informality: Partially due to their sense of equality, Americans tend to be very informal. Dress, especially in an educational setting, can be very casual. This informality also lends itself to friendliness. Americans are quick to say hello to friends and casual acquaintances alike. Often Americans will ask “How’s it going?” as a way of saying hello. While this informality can be startling if you are not used to it, Americans mean it as a warm and friendly gesture.
- Punctuality: Americans can seem to always be in a rush. Efficiency is a highly regarded trait, and Americans can seem impatient. In general they put a great value on time.
- Directness: Americans believe that being direct is the best way to communicate, and, that often, it is the only way to be heard. To people from different backgrounds, this can seem aggressive or rude. The importance of individuality in U.S. culture has fostered a sense of competitiveness which has, in turn, led to the need to be heard.

- In Ethiopian culture, greetings are marked by courtesy and a degree of formality. The prevalent form of greeting involves a handshake accompanied by direct eye contact, a gesture much gentler than what is customary in Western cultures. In more intimate relationships, individuals of the same gender may engage in a triple cheek kiss.
- Crossing gender lines, men are advised to wait and observe if a woman extends her hand for a greeting. Rushed greetings are discouraged, and it is customary to invest time in inquiring about the well-being of the other person, their family, and their professional pursuits.
- Addressing individuals involves the use of honorific titles along with their first names, with "Ato" for men, "Woizero" for married women, and "Woizrity" for unmarried women. It is a cultural norm to accord respect to elders by greeting them first, and when introduced to someone older or of higher status, a bow is a customary display of politeness, a practice often observed even among children.

- Dress code - conservative clothing. This means long, loose-fitting clothing that covers your shoulders, knees, midriff, chest and back
- Local Customs and Traditions - Etiquette and Customs in Kenya: The customary form of greeting involves a handshake, with variations based on the nature of the relationship. When greeting a close acquaintance, the handshake tends to be more extended compared to a casual interaction. In certain cases, particularly among close female friends, an embrace and a kiss on each cheek may replace the traditional handshake.
- When extending greetings to an elder or someone of higher status, it is customary to shake hands while gently grasping the right wrist with the left hand, a gesture symbolizing respect. It's important to note that in Muslim culture, there may be instances where men or women choose not to shake hands with individuals of the opposite gender.
- The standard greeting often involves the phrase "Jambo?" (meaning "How are you?"), typically exchanged just before the handshake. Following the handshake, it is customary to inquire about the person's health, family, business, and other relevant aspects. Neglecting or rushing through this aspect of the greeting process is considered impolite.
- Addressing individuals is typically done using their academic, professional, or honorific title, followed by their surname. As a relationship develops, there may be an opportunity to address individuals by their title and first name, first name alone, or a nickname. It is advisable to allow Kenyans to signal when such familiarity is appropriate.
- In Kenyan culture, women aged 21 and above are often addressed as "Mama," while men aged 35 and above may be addressed as "Mzee." Children commonly refer to adults as Aunt or Uncle, irrespective of a familial connection. Understanding and respecting these cultural nuances contribute to positive and respectful interactions.

- Local Customs and Traditions - The most common verbal greeting in the Gulf countries – Salam alaykum (literally, peace be upon you) – is often used by non-Muslims. This form of address is even used in official meetings, and the correct reply for it is wa alaykum as-salam (literally, and upon you be peace). For example, men tend to shake hands (always the right one) as a formal greeting. If you are in an informal environment and you know the person very well, you can kiss each other on the cheek (three times on the right cheek). However, if you meet a relative or a close friend, you can greet each other by touching noses twice. The same procedure can be followed by women when greeting formally. For relatives and close friends, they also kiss on the cheek (three times on the right side) and usually hug too.

About Cairo
Cairo is the capital of Egypt and the city-state Cairo Governorate, and is the country's largest city, home to 10 million people. It is also part of the largest urban agglomeration in Africa, the Arab world and the Middle East: The Greater Cairo metropolitan area is the 12th-largest in the world by population with a population of over 22.1 million.
Cairo is associated with ancient Egypt, as the Giza pyramid complex and the ancient cities of Memphis and Heliopolis are located in its geographical area. Located near the Nile Delta, the city first developed as Fustat following the Muslim conquest of Egypt in 641 next to an existing ancient Roman fortress, Babylon. Cairo was founded by the Fatimid dynasty in 969. It later superseded Fustat as the main urban centre during the Ayyubid and Mamluk periods (12th–16th centuries). Cairo has long been a centre of the region's political and cultural life, and is titled "the city of a thousand minarets" for its preponderance of Islamic architecture. Cairo's historic center was awarded World Heritage Site status in 1979.

- Local Customs and Traditions -
- In Egypt, the most common greeting is As-salamu alaykum, which translates to “Peace be upon you.” The response to this greeting is Wa alaykumu s-salam, meaning “And upon you be peace. However, this greeting can be slightly formal and might not be used among close friends and family. In more informal situations, people may use ahlan (hello) or marhaba (hello/welcome). In more conservative or traditional communities, Egyptian men do not generally have physical contact (such as shaking hands or hugging) with women who are not their close relatives or wives. In less traditional communities, on the other hand, men often shake hands or, if they are close friends or relatives, hug or kiss on the cheek when they greet each other. Egyptian women also commonly greet each other with a kiss on each cheek, especially among close friends or relatives. In a professional setting or among more westernized individuals, it may be more common for men and women to shake hands, but it’s usually best to follow the woman’s lead in such situations. If in doubt, a polite verbal greeting without physical contact is always a safe choice. These norms can change depending on the social, cultural, and personal context, so they should be seen as general guidelines rather than strict rules.
