Akwa Ibom State recently bagged a state owned airline called Ibom Air!!! The very first of its kind in Nigeria under the leadership of the governor, His Excellency Udom Emmanuel . The airline was launched on the 20th of February, 2019 at the Victor Attah International Airport, Uyo where the Senate President, Dr. Bukola Saraki performed the unveiling .<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Govenor’s Speech<\/h4>\n\n\n\n
Governor Udom Emmanuel said the airline was a monumental achievement in the state. In addition, the airline will operate routes that would give preference to Akwa Ibom people, and that his government would soon launch one of the best terminal buildings in this country. The journey to achieve Ibom airline started in 2016 and today, it is a reality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Ibom Air Operations<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Flights is said to carry 90 passengers on board, which will run three times a day, morning-afternoon-evening schedules. with first running 3 frequencies Uyo-Lagos, Uyo-Abuja and Lagos-Abuja.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAnd-also, the airline will employ 300 people but 3,000 people will be involved in Ibom Air at one time or the other, excellent mangers have been selected,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Senate President, Bukola\nSaraki, who unveiled the aircrafts commended the leadership qualities of the\nstate governor, noting that he has been able to create an environment viable\nfor development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Lastly,We are all excited to see the immerse economical growth this airline will serve Akwa Ibom’s Tourism sector and the nation’s aviation sector in general<\/p>\n\n\n\n
